Botox Treatment

Dermal filler therapy has been widely used across the world for cosmetic purposes. Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) is the most commonly used dermal filler. It is used to reduce the appearance of aging wrinkles, restore the loss of facial volume due to aging, and add volume or contouring desire facial areas. The HA filler is injected under the skin in designated areas of treatment, such as the lips, cheeks, and marionette lines. The procedure is usually done by trained physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses. Various types of dermal fillers are designated to treat different areas in the face. Lip fillers typically last for 8-12 months, mid-face filers may last up to 12-18 months, and cheek fillers may last 18-24 months.  However, there may be a variant in the outcome's length due to different injections, volume used, and patients’ anatomy.

Neurotoxins/neuromodulators (also known as botulinum A toxin, Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin) are the core of cosmetics injections. Neuromodulators are used to relax the facial muscles and to prevent or smooth the appearance of aging wrinkles. The most common areas of injections are the forehead and top half of the face (glabellar complex).   It may take up to two weeks to see the full effect of the Neurotoxin injections. Most treatments may last from 3 to 4 months.
