Dermaplaning is a cosmetic non-invasive technique performed by a physician or licensed esthetician. The procedure is performed with a sterile surgical scalpel to remove the outer layer of the facial skin (also known as superficial dead skin or stratum corneum) as well as the removal of facial “peach fuzz” hair (also known as the fine and light facial hair).

Advantages of the dermaplaning: No downtime, immediate results for smoother skin, makeup will appear smoother, increase penetration of skin produces. This treatment cannot be offered for patients with active cystic acne (please refer to Vi PEEL).
